The Virginia Association Of Volunteer Rescue Squads (VAVRS) was founded in May 5, 1936 in Lynchburg, Virginia. The organization is dedicated to providing quality training to Volunteer EMS stations. This training is free to members of VAVRS organizations. VAVRS offers classes ranging from Rope Rescue to Swift Water Rescue, to Vehicle Extrication, to CE classes for your EMT- Basic, Intermediate, or Paramedic.
